A.C.T. kicks off the 2018–19 season with the Pulitzer Prize–winning drama that had Broadway critics and audiences on their feet.

In Reading, Pennsylvania—the blue-collar heart of America’s steel industry—a tight-knit group of factory workers has gathered in the local bar for generations to share laughs, hopes, and cold beers. But as the country heads into a new millennium, recession looms, and a lock-out turns assembly line into picket line, one event will send shockwaves through these lifelong friends, pitting them against each other in the struggle to survive.

The choice of the festival's theme -- celebrating the glories and mysteries of the moon -- was a natural. Along with the sun, the moon has long been an object of human curiosity and worship. Happy Thanksgiving!!

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! Take a look at the many events I have here for you.  You may have noticed that you are receiving this events blog a day early. This is because I wanted to highlight some great volunteer opportunities for tomorrow.  Check it out!

There are some new fun events as well as several "old school" San Francisco holiday venues. The Fairmont Gingerbread house is always impressive, as is walking around Union Square during the holidays. There is a new cocktail pop-up in North Beach that looks super cool, and some of the proceeds will go to a fire relief charity. It is the last week of Photosynthesis. The light show at the Conservatory of Flowers. I personally went to the opening day and it was awesome. If you haven't seen this yet make sure you get there by Sunday. It is each night at sunset and repeats several times a night.
